FREE VISION & HEARING SCREENING CAMP

 

On 13th February, a free vision and hearing camp was organised by Malankara Social Service Society under the Sparsh Project at Shalom Special School, Vattappara. The camp was conducted in association with Gitanjali Hispital. A team of professionals including an ophthalmologist and audiologist along with screening equipments visited the school for differently-abled. A total of 42 specially-abled children were assessed with the help of the team. Due to several communication barriers the assessment was done using different strategies adapted according to the special needs of the children present there.
